Brief summary (Synopsis): *slight spoiler ahead*

Cletus Kasady, a notorious murderer was resurrected by a cult group worshipping the symbiote God. He is again on a killing spree as the Carnage, hunting those former symbiote hosts. As the symbiote left a codex to all of its former hosts, gathering all of those codices will be the key to awaken the symbiote God - Knull, a goal every symbiote must achieve for its creator. But Eddie Brock's Venom symbiote rejects the coming of their God as it grows intimately attached to him.

Will this come to a good end?

You may read the fillers before the main arc. The filler issues tease the coming of Absolute Carnage Arc. You may skip them and read the main arc.

I also recommend you read Donny Cates run of the Venom from the very 1st Issue (2018) until the 16th Issue. It got some key appearances (1st appearance of Symbiote God - Knull, see Venom #03 [2018] and Dylan Brock, see Venom #07 [2018]) and also, a very good run. After Venom #16 (2019), the story will continue to the Absolute Carnage #01.

I find the Absolute Carnage Arc okay, a major cliffhanger for the coming of symbiote God - Knull. I'm rating this Marvel event 3.5 / 5.0
