A Must-read for Coming-of-age Genre

This book is a primarily recommended. A must-read if you’re looking for a coming-of-age genre. Main character’s Holden Caulfield, a teenage boy under social alienation and inferiority complex. Holden wonders to find where the ducks go when the winter falls, that’ll cross your mind if you are under loneliness and tripped on contacting whoever is on your contact list because you don’t whatever else to do.

I can relate to the book but in my case, I went into an extreme condition where I decided to commit suicide which fortunately failed. The setting was 1940, I guess if the author levelled the setting of the book today, Holden Caulfield would kill himself. Teenage life nowadays is far different from the 1940s setting.

Take note that this book was banned on some countries and some schools using it for class study. Just take precaution with your curiosity on planning to read this book, even if you are at your teen age. One need not be easily influences with how and what a fiction book gives. It tells of man’s growing up phase; I tell you, in my opinion, the phase of adolescent-to-adulthood stage of today is very extreme than the one from The Catcher in the Rye. Just open up your mind and be optimistic when you take this book out of the shelf.
