Buddha manga is based on the life of Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism. Some parts of the story are fabricated to make the story entertaining for all audiences and is not solely focus on teachings and practices of Buddhism.

Kapilavastu tells you the story of pride, revenge, and bad karma. Note: Kapilavastu is an ancient city where Siddhartha Gautama was born. It's in the southern location of Nepal.

Tatta is one of the protagonists of the story. Gautama Buddha was just born in this volume. I guess, we'll find him in action in the next book and how he'll correlate with Tatta.

You'll find characters you may think will survive for long but dies in the end. The end is unpredictable and makes you longed to read the next volume.

After finishing this volume, I actually feel compassionate and I became observant of my actions. Why? I witness the wheels of karma in this book from the fate of some characters. It's not that I'm religious or spiritual in real life. It's still a good way that we apply the Golden Rule for the better good of all.

If you're looking for a worthy manga to read, this book is a must-have to your collection or reading list.

I'm rating this 5.0 / 5.0
